José Pavlov Valdivia Reynoso, “PAVLOV”, is a Peruvian artist who has lived and worked in Guadalajara since 2002. He works principally in water color or oil, with figurative themes, American hyperrealism, and Peruvian cubism. He has recently begun to work in minimalist abstraction. Since 1999 he has been dedicated to teaching visual arts in different institutions, colleges, workshops, and summer camps.
Pavlov defines himself as a figurative painter, however, at the same time he is has worked in different techniques that range from watercolor to engraving, and from sculpture to ceramics.
