Sergio Martinez is originally from Mexico City, and graduated from the famous Escuela de Artes Plásticas “La Esmeralda”.
He completed postgraduate studies in Japan, and in Paris. He has worked in the Multimedia Center at the National Center for the Arts. He has participated in a variety of individual and collective exhibitions in USA, Japan, Spain, and México.
For the last ten years Sergio has lived and worked in Puerto Vallarta, where he collaborates with distinctive projects related to both the teaching and diffusion of the arts. He is a member of the collective La Malagua.
In his work there is constant attention to parallel directions, and the relationship between the micro and macro cosmos. His pieces are the result of these reflections.
